The Imaginary World

An illustration I drew for Narrative Illustration. I dedicate this piece to my good friend whose experience inspired me to make this piece.

"The Imaginary World" is about a girl from a broken home, who seeks an escape in an imaginary world she made up in her mind. She indulges into that world every time she feels upset or hurt. However as time goes on and she grows older, her state of mind stays the same; a little girl living in a beautiful, perfect world that is her imagination. She becomes entrapped in that world, unable to return to the true reality. The imaginary world becomes her new reality, while the true reality fades into nothing more than a reflection in a pond.
