Description
Literarily took me a week to finish, even when I was using a tutorial. All those mechanical details are a pain to paint one by one. -_-
Original Design (pencil) & Tutorial by Mike Butkus in "how to draw fallen angels" book.
Colors/painting by me (with some design modifications)
Model is Benedict Cumberbatch.
The theme of the tutorial is mechanical angel, I decided to have Cumberbatch as model, which I think suit his image because of the following reasons:
1. As Sherlock Holmes, Fall of Reinbach episode, he told Moriarty that even though he is on the side of the angels, he is not one of them. (leads me to think he is in fact a "fake" one)
2. As Khan, he is a genetically engineered superhuman soldier. I don't know if he is built like a cyborg, but the image fits.
Thus, this is a fanart dedicated to Benedict Cumberbatch himself, since both of his performances have dazzled me into becoming his avid fan.
